The Board of Directors
Roy Moore brings the organization over 25 years of business leadership experience and is very skilled in delivering complex projects. He is the former chairman and a founding director of the Light Up The World (LUTW) Foundation.
Glen Mackey brings over 16 years of Corporate Strategy, Information Technology (IT), and Finance experience to the team. His work with the Calgary Health Region’s IT department has prepared him to understand complex environments and arrive at creative and well-designed solutions.
David Yarema brings over 14 years experience in Design, Branding, and Communications to empower ChristmasFuture to define, manage, and communicate the vision to all stakeholders.
Lorne Jaques brings his vast experience and contacts in International Development gained through engagements with the U.N. and in his current role as Senior Director of International Development at the University of Calgary to the ChristmasFuture organization. His wisdom, understanding, vision, clear thought, and international contacts are all great assets to ChristmasFuture.
Ryan McDonald brings his experience in technology management consulting and his enthusiasm to assist ChristmasFuture towards the eradication of poverty.
Dr. Peter Jamieson is the current Division Chief for Acute Care Family Medicine in the Calgary Health Region, and holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Calgary. He brings his strong interest in health informatics and his experience as the incoming chair of the Regional Medical Advisory Board to help ChristmasFuture towards its goals.
Gena Rotstein, a Director, brings her vast experience at Centerpoint and network of contacts in the non-profit sector and fund development arena to assist ChristmasFuture accomplish their goal of eradicating extreme poverty.
Evan Hu, a Director, brings his proven record of success in the IT business, including: Ideaca and Maple Music. His enthusiasm, vision, professional experience, and contacts are all great assets to ChristmasFuture. Evan is a Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Engineering from the University of Alberta.
Staff
Jay Baydala, previously an Information Technology Project Manager for over 13 years, is the organization’s founder and Executive Director. He passionately leads the organization towards realizing their vision.
Leif Baradoy’s diverse experience makes him a versatile resource for ChristmasFuture. Combining his background in publishing and management with his passion to connect with people and initiate change, he helps unify ChristmasFuture’s various teams as the organization’s Operations Manager.
James Lee joins Christmas Future after 7+ years in IT. His from experience includes web application development, database management and administration, and project management. Having traveled to 3rd world countries, James has seen poverty first hand, and it is that experience that most changed some of his values. James joined Christmas Future because he wanted to see positive change in the world and wanted to be part of equipping people to do so.
Volunteers
ChristmasFuture has a skilled, passionate, and committed group of volunteers that help to continually bring our vision into reality.
