HiMaT Grassroots Development Foundation

HiMaT Grassroots Development Foundation ()

Description

HiMaT Grassroots Development Foundation has begun to implement a unique community and business development program in the poorest and most remote region of Pakistani Kashmir.

HiMaT helps communities to growth and improve. Initiatives and responsibilities for all activities come from the community. Every community has enormous skills and resources at its disposal if it works together constructively and receives proper guidance and support. HiMaT helps the community become aware of its own potential and use it effectively.

HiMaT plans a three-cycle process in which the know-how of its team is passed onto the local community.

  • Cycle 1: HiMaT professionals lead the process of developing, implementing and monitoring the village plans.
  • Cycle 2: The process is led by the cluster professionals with active support from HiMaT.
  • Cycle 3: The process is led by the cluster professionals with supervision and only occasional coaching provided by HiMaT

After the third cycle, when the community is has achieved sustainable development through its own independence, HiMaT’s support to the community is completed.
